Being your own boss will allow you to create the freedom and flexibility you want so that you will be able to spend more time with the people who matter most.
It allows you to be able to do the things that you have always wanted to do but you didn’t have the time or money to do while working a 9 to 5. Well, at least that was the major reason why I wanted to become my own boss.
So, how come a lot of people who have this dream of business ownership have not embarked on their entrepreneurial journey yet? There is a lot of information out there about being an entrepreneur or starting your own business but how come you haven’t turned your hobby or side hustle into a business yet?
I find that even though there is a wealth of knowledge motivating people to start their own business they all fail to discuss the barriers that are preventing you from making your dream of business ownership a reality in the first place.
In my opinion, and in my years of experience working with numerous female entrepreneurs, there are 7 barriers that the business startup gurus and entrepreneurial motivational speakers fail to address how to overcome:
